Cabana glimpsed through live oak canopy across wide lawn

Custom pool contractor · Comfort, TX Room to spread out in Comfort.

Comfort sits along I-10 between Boerne and Kerrville, where the Guadalupe River and Cypress Creek run through open ranch country. Properties here tend to be large, and the planning starts with the land.

Choosing the right place on a big property

On acreage, the first question is where. There may be a dozen places a pool could go, and the right one depends on the view, the sun, the wind and the distance from the house. A master plan settles those questions before anything is built, and it gives you a guide for adding to the property later.

Rural site realities

Country properties raise practical questions that city lots do not. Where is the septic field, and how far must a pool stay from it? Where does the well sit? How far do power and water have to run? How will trucks reach the site? Comfort is unincorporated, so the county and other local agencies are usually the ones to check with instead of a city. These details are easy to deal with early and expensive to discover late.

Land near the Guadalupe River or Cypress Creek also needs a floodplain check before design begins, along with a look at how storm water crosses the property.

A complete place to gather

Space lets a project become more than a pool. A cabana with a kitchen, a fire pit, a natural putting green or a lighted sport court can all live together on a large site. Rural properties also suit planting that can look after itself, and rainwater collection where a well is doing the work.

Common questions

01

Do you work in Comfort, Texas?

Yes. Comfort is part of our Texas Hill Country service area, a short drive up I-10 from our studio.

02

Can you build a pool on a property with a septic system?

Usually, yes, but the pool has to be placed with the septic field in mind, and required separation distances apply. We would locate the septic system and other utilities before choosing the site.

03

Can you plan a project in phases on a large property?

Yes. A master plan lets you build in stages while making sure each stage fits the next.
