Pool & spa remodeling · Texas Hill Country A second life for the pool you already have.
An older pool can often become the pool you wish you had built. We look at the pool and everything around it, then design the remodel the same way we design a new project.
Start with what is there
Every remodel begins with an honest look at the existing pool. Before we draw anything, we want to understand how it was built, what condition it is in and what is worth keeping. Sometimes the shell is sound and the opportunity is in the surfaces. Sometimes the real problem is around the pool, in a deck that has moved or drainage that was never right.
What a remodel can change
A remodel can be as focused as new coping, tile and interior finish, or as complete as a new spa, a new shape at the waterline and a rebuilt terrace. Common additions include a spa or spa spillway, scuppers and other water features, fire bowls, a sun shelf, and new lighting that brings the pool into the evening.
Because we also build hardscape, lighting and outdoor kitchens, the work does not have to stop at the water. A remodel is often the right moment to add the pergola or kitchen the first project left out.
Correcting earlier work
We are sometimes called in to correct problems left by earlier construction. In those cases we start by finding the cause, because replacing a cracked deck without fixing what cracked it only buys time. One longtime client who came back to us to renovate their pool put it well: clear explanations throughout, and full transparency whenever a decision would add cost.
Living through a remodel
A remodel happens in the backyard of a home you are living in. That is a good reason to have a single team responsible for the whole job. There is one point of contact, one schedule and no hand-offs between a pool contractor, a mason and a landscaper.

Pool & Spa Remodeling, across the Hill Country
“Throughout the process, John provided clear explanations on everything he did. When there were decisions that would result in additional cost, he was fully transparent. We had previously used Dynamic Environments for landscaping, a front courtyard fountain, and a large rainwater collection system, so our selection of them to renovate our pool was easy. If you want to ensure your job is done right, we strongly recommend John’s company.”
Common questions
01 Do you remodel pools you didn’t build?
Yes. We renovate existing pools and outdoor living areas, including pool decks and terraces, and we correct problems left by earlier construction.
02 Should I remodel my pool or replace it?
That depends on the condition of the existing structure and what you want the space to become. We would walk the property with you and give you our honest view before anything is designed.
03 Can you add a spa to an existing pool?
Often, yes. Spas, spillways and water features are common parts of a remodel. Whether it works on your pool depends on the existing structure and equipment, which we would review on site.
